Orange linen shirting from Arvind. Linen is woven from flax fibre: it breathes very well, dries quickly and feels cool in humid weather, which makes it a natural choice for Indian summers. This is a warm, sunny orange rather than a neon one.

Where it works
Holiday shirts, brunches, beach weddings and festive daytime events. Orange pairs well with white, beige, olive and navy bottoms.
Looking after it
Wash gently in cold water and iron while still slightly damp. Linen creases easily; that relaxed look is part of its character.
