Olive green checked cotton shirting from Gini. The check is small and regular, so from a distance it reads as a textured olive rather than a busy pattern, which makes it an easy casual shirt that still looks put together.

Where it works
Weekend shirts, travel and smart-casual Fridays. Olive pairs naturally with beige, khaki and off-white trousers, and with dark denim. Brown shoes and a tan belt finish it.
Looking after it
Machine wash cold with similar colours and iron on medium heat. Checks should be matched at the front placket, so mention it to your tailor; it may need a little extra length.
